My Favorite Blog Posts of 2013
2013 was the year that I began my blog. I was very nervous about blogging. Even though I know my readership is very very small it is still a leap for me to expose myself in this way. I fear judgement; I fear being wrong; I fear typos. However, as the year wore on, I became more comfortable with the blogosphere. Here is a recap of my three most popular posts...
3. Just Because It's On The Internet
I wrote this post on internet sources for home values in a fit of frustration, but it ended up being one of my favorites. I had grown weary of clients and friends quoting home values from online sources that were out of date. One evening while watching too much TV I saw that State Farm commercial (featured in the blog) and thought I could base an article on that same idea. What started in a huff became one of my favorite marketing tools.
2. I Can See Clearly Now the Panes Are Gone
I love using my own experiences on home improvement. I feel like I have a lifetime of projects to complete that I will be blogging for a long long time. Plus, this is my favorite title. This article on replacement windows also taught me something about getting attention - sometimes the ugliest pictures will get more attention that an expertly shot and edited one. I lucked into that one, but I will definitely try to use "ugly" again in 2014.
1. Would You Rather
This blog entry on garage organization was by far the most popular article of 2013. I believe it was the most viewed of 2013 because my friend with like 1000+ Facebook friends promoted it. It's great to have popular friends. Anyone know Ashton Kutcher? I like the subject of this post though - these are the things that should be considered when staging your home to sell.
All in all, 2013 was a great year and a great start to my blogging adventure. I hope you continue to follow and share my blog in the new year. All the best to you!
